Principles

Restraint is a product decision.

A short set of working principles guides what we build, what we leave out, and how clearly we communicate both.

01

Focused software

A product should solve a specific problem well, without becoming a container for unrelated features.

02

Transparent behavior

People should be able to understand what software changes, what it depends on, and where its limits are.

03

No dark patterns

Choices should be clear. Interfaces should not pressure people into accounts, subscriptions, or permissions.

04

Local-first where practical

When a task can be handled responsibly on the device, unnecessary cloud dependencies should not stand in the way.

05

Controlled, reversible changes

System-level software should make deliberate changes and provide a reliable path back.

06

Honest capability claims

Useful software does not need inflated promises. Boundaries and tradeoffs belong in the product story.

Thank you

Thanks for downloading MultiNet.

MultiNet is a new unsigned beta from an independent developer, so Windows may show a security warning when you open the installer.

Windows SmartScreen

If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose “More info” and then “Run anyway” if that option is available.

Smart App Control

Some Windows 11 PCs with Smart App Control enabled may block unsigned apps more strictly.
