Getting started

Start using both connections.

Connect Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

Open MultiNet and select both internet connections.

Enable MultiNet.

Restart apps with existing connections if they do not use MultiNet immediately.

MultiNet works best with apps that open multiple internet connections.

Common issues

Straightforward fixes.

MultiNet only uses one connection

This can be normal. One single connection stays on one internet link.

Apps such as Steam downloads, game launchers and parallel downloaders often open several connections and can therefore use both links.

I enabled MultiNet but an app still uses one link

If the app already had active network connections before MultiNet was enabled, restart that app. New connections can then follow the active MultiNet routing.

Service unavailable

Close MultiNet completely and open it again. The MultiNet service starts automatically with the app. If the problem remains, restart Windows and try again.

VPN or tunnel detected

MultiNet handles VPN and tunnel configurations conservatively. If a configuration could cause unsafe or unpredictable routing, MultiNet may refuse to enable or may turn itself off. Disconnect the VPN or tunnel and try again.

A connection disappeared or changed

Network adapters can change when Wi-Fi reconnects, Ethernet is unplugged or Windows changes the network state. Open MultiNet and select the available connections again if required.
